Hearts bound playmaker praised by County boss
Yan Dhanda played over 40 times this season for Ross County, scoring in the two-legged Premiership play-off with Raith Rovers
Don Cowie paid tribute to Yan Dhanda after the Hearts-bound playmaker's two-year stint at Ross County came to an end.
The 25-year-old made 79 appearances for the Staggies after joining from Swansea in 2022, but he will now leave to sign for the Jambos, after he agreed a pre-contract earlier this year.
Manager Cowie told the County website: "Yan has been an integral part of our football club over the last two seasons, a player who the fans have really grown to love.
"We wish him and his family the very best in his move to Hearts and look forward to welcoming him back to the Global Energy Stadium next season."
Having secured their Premiership survival when they sealed a 6-1 aggregate victory over Raith Rovers in the play-off final, County also confirmed that 31-year-old midfielder Jordan Tillson is leaving after four years at the club, along with academy graduates Adam Mackinnon and Matthew Wright.
"Jordan has been a tremendous servant for our football club amassing over 100 appearances," said Cowie. "He has been a model professional and we wish him and his family the very best for the next chapter in his career."
Loan signings Will Nightingale, George Wickens, Loick Ayina, Teddy Jenks, Eli King, Brandon Khela and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson have all returned to their parent clubs.
As well as Dhanda, former County midfielder Blair Spittal, Livingston defender James Penrice and Hamilton goalkeeper Ryan Fulton have all committed to the Tynecastle club for next term.
