Climate activist and founder of 'Fridays for Future' Greta Thunberg has arrived in Glasgow for the COP26 climate change conference.
The 18 year-old Swede was escorted through Glasgow Central Station to its lower-level platforms by police and aides.
'Welcome to Glasgow, Greta'
Crowds could be heard shouting "Welcome to Glasgow" as Greta smiled and punched the air.
Thunberg told followers several months ago that she would not be attending the climate change conference in person due to concerns about the pandemic, however she revealed several weeks ago that she'd had a change of heart and would be coming to Glasgow.
Addressing crowds in Glasgow
She will be leading the Youth March through Glasgow City Centre on Friday 5th November, as young people across the country walk out of school and demand action on climate issues from world leaders.
Greta will then address crowds at a rally in Kelvingrove Park on Saturday 6th November, following another city centre march, which is expected to draw around 100,000 people.
