Global Interest In Caithness Flag
Hundreds of entries from around the globe flooded in for the design competition.
A competition to design a flag for Caithness has attracted interest from around the world.
Among the 327 designs were entries from Austrailia, America and Brazil.
A shortlist of 4 will be unveiled later, ahead of a public vote on the region's new flag.
Caithness Civic Leader, Councillor Gail Ross who was part of the judging panel said: “The flag will be the public symbol of Caithness so I was delighted that so many creative and inspiring designs were submitted.
"The flag selected after the public vote will be the first registered area flag on the Scottish mainland and will raise recognition and awareness of the area nation-wide, express the pride in our local community and celebrate the heritage and culture of our corner of the country."
A public vote will be launched later this month and run until July 31st.
