Four people have been taken to hospital as emergency services investigate a possible gas leak at a Highland hotel.

Four people have been taken to hospital as emergency services investigate a possible gas leak at a Highland hotel.

A total of 90-guests were evacuated from rooms at the Carrbridge Hotel in the village of Carrbridge.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said four people had been taken to hospital by ambulance and the incident was being treated as a "possible gas leak".

Emergency services and police were called to the hotel shortly after 5am on Friday.

Emergency services, Highland Council representatives, heating engineers remain at the scene, where a full investigation is underway into the cause of the incident.

Police Scotland has confirmed that the four-people who were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness were suffering the effects of exposure to suspected Carbon Monoxide.
