Forres footbridge suffers at Sanquhar after storm
Work on-going to clear debris following storm damage in the Moray town
Storm Ciara has caused damage to a Forres footbridge which has been placed off-limits while work goes on to clear trees which were blown down.
The trees fell onto the wooden bridge at Sanquhar Loch, part of a popular walking route around the Forres beauty spot.
Moray Council teams were out clearing the fallen timber from the site today, but the bridge will remain closed until it has been inspected for safe use.
Signs have been erected to advise walkers not to use the crossing until the council’s bridge engineers have inspected the site.
