Flu Outbreak Continues @ Raigmore Ward

6 patients have now tested positive for flu in Ward 3A.

6 cases of flu have now been confirmed at the north's biggest hospital.

Ward 3A at Raigmore Hospital is still closed to new admissions.

Staff are treating it as a possible outbreak as a precaution.

Visitors are asked to keep away until the area has been cleared.

A NHS Highland spokesperson said: "Ward 3A at Raigmore Hospital remains closed to new admissions following an increase in the number of patients diagnosed with flu.

"6 patients have now tested positive for flu and as a precaution, this is being treated as a possible outbreak.

"Relatives and friends are being asked to avoid visiting Ward 3A if at all possible."
