It looks like Portsoy has been worst hit by the floods this morning.

Firefighters have helped evacuate people from their homes on Soy Avenue.

Moray Council say flooding is expected in Garmouth as the Spey continues to rise.

But while Dallas was cut off because of water on the roads - no properties were damaged there because of flood alleviation measures.

The trains are going to be off all day because of water on the line near Elgin - there's a replacement bus between Forres and Keith.

Seven schools are closed - Dallas, Mosstowie and Crossroads in Moray, and Ordiquill, Portsoy, Whitehills and Fordyce in Aberdeenshire.
