Firefighters battle huge Easter Ross wildfire overnight

They were there for more than 13 hours to bring the blaze under control

Fire crews spent more than 13 hours bringing a wildfire in Easter Ross under cotrol between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.

They were called to the shoreline at Cadboll, just north of Balintore at around 2.45pm on Sunday.

Around 20 firefighters were on the scene, until they were stood down at around 4.15am on monday morning.

A Fire service spokesperson told MFR News no-one was hurt during the blaze, and no properties are thought to have been damaged.
