Fire shuts Dingwall Leisure Centre

Dingwall Leisure Centre's suffered a fire forcing the building to remain shut until further notice.

An investigation's being carried out into the cause of the blaze in the plant room which lead to 20-customers and staff being evacuated earlier today.

No one was hurt.

Leisure Centre Manager Lisa Macdonald told MFR News: "Centre staff reacted very quickly and the 20-customers and staff in the building at the time were evacuated safely in line with our emergency procedures.

"I would like to thank the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service personnel who attended the incident.

"They were at the scene within minutes of receiving the call."
