Dundee United have cancelled the season ticket of a supporter, and banned him from Tannadice after an incident with Aberdeen player Funso Ojo.

The altercation, which is currently under investigation by Police Scotland, occurred at the end of the first half in Saturday's game, when United defeated Aberdeen 1-0.

Belgian Funso Ojo was subsequently sent off by referee Bobby Madden.

A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident for an alleged assault.

A statement from the club said:

"We can confirm that an individual has had their season ticket cancelled and been banned from Tannadice Park for unacceptable conduct and breaching the terms of their season ticket contract.

"The Club are committed to ensuring a safe environment for everyone to come along and enjoy football matches at Tannadice and we ask all fans to help ensure this is the case.

"We will make no further comment on this matter."
