Family of missing Invergordon dad informed after man's body recovered from shoreline

The family of a missing Easter Ross man have been informed after a body was recovered from the shoreline.

Searches for Shaun Banner, from Invergordon, have been ongoing since he went missing on April 23rd.

Formal identification is set to take place and officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Tuesday, 14 June, officers attended at Shore Road West, Invergordon, following reports of a body on the shoreline.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Shaun Banner, 34, who was reported missing from the area on Saturday, 23 April, 2022, has been made aware.

"The death is being treated as unexplained, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
