Family of four in hospital following Ayr explosion

An 11-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy are in hospital in Glasgow.

A family of four is in hospital following an explosion in the Kincaidston area of Ayr last night.

Two adults and two children are said to be in a "serious condition".

A 16-year-old boy and a 43-year-old woman are in Glasgow Royal Infirmary and a 47-year-old man is in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and an 11-year-old boy is in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

The police and the fire service say they are working together to establish what happened.
