Jack was the top name for boys for a eighth consecutive year, followed by Oliver and then James.
Also in the top 10 for boys were Lewis, Alexander, Charlie, Logan, Lucas and Harris, as well as Jacob, Finlay and Daniel in joint tenth place.
The fastest climbing names in the boys' top twenty were Jacob, Alexander and Finlay.
Emily was the top girls' name for the second year running, with Sophie the second most popular choice, Olivia third and Isla fourth.
The top ten for girls also included Ava, Jessica, Amelia, Ella, Lucy and Lily.
The fastest climbers in the girls' top twenty were Anna, Ella and Emma.
The National Records of Scotland registered the births of 25,970 boys and 24,490 girls in the period covered by the figures.
