Emergency services attending crashes on two north roads

There's been a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Inverness and there's also been a crash just outside Fort Augustus.

Emergency services are currently dealing with two Highland crashes.

There's been a crash involving a pedestrian and a car in Inverness, while there's also been a collision involving a van and a lorry just outside of Fort Augustus.

At the time of writing, there has been no update on the injuries involved.

Police Scotland confirmed officers are in attendance at the Longman roundabout.

A spokesperson said: "Around 12.40pm we received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on the A9 northbound near Kessock Bridge in Inverness.

“Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are continuing.”

They also confirmed the A82 just outside Fort Augustus is currently blocked and remains closed.

A spokesperson added: "Officers in Fort William received a report of a crash on the A82 just "outside Fort Augustus involving a van and a lorry.

“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently blocked."
