An Elgin woman's trying to raise cash for life saving treatment in Germany, after being misdiagnosed with an eating disorder for more than 20 years.

Doctors told Isla Evans that she had anorexia for two decades.

They've now discovered that the mother of two is actutally battling a life threatening gastro-vascular disorder called SMA syndrome, which can only be treated abroad.

The Highland community's rallying together to help send her for life saving surgery in Germany later this month.

A special Fun Day has been organised by friends and family on the 19th of July to help raise the money needed.

It's being held at Cooper Park in Elgin from 11am until 3pm.

There will be bouncy castles, leg waxing, icicles on tricicles, face painting, various displays, stalls, horse rides and many more activities.

Isla is scheduled to travel abroad on the 28th of July.
