Scotland's largest multi-arts venue has been forced to close due to a "high proportion" of staff self-isolating.

Eden Court's buildings and Under Canvas Inverness will be shut until August 4th, however their Under Canvas Across the Highlands tour will go ahead this week as planned.

They say their priority is the safety of customers, staff and artists.

Eden Court's Chief Executive, James Mackenzie-Blackman said: "Over the course of our closure period we will lose 27 cinema screenings, 10 Under Canvas events, 5 theatre performances, 19 workshops and projects for young people and all the associated income from our Café, Bars and Bistro.

"Despite this we will fully honour all fees to independent artists, and pay to our staff, over our closure period.

"We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Eden Court from Wednesday 04 August."
