Drugs worth £81,000 seized in Inverness

Heroin and cocaine were recovered in the railway station area of the city.

On Tuesday 20 November officers carried out a search and seized cocaine and herion worth £81,000.

A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with the recovery and is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday, November 22.

Detective Sergeant Sam McLaughlan said: 'We are committed to tackling the supply of controlled drugs to the Highlands and Islands and pro-actively targeting those individuals intent on causing harm to our local communities.

'We rely on the support of the public to help us take action to disrupt the drug trade.
