Police in Inverness are looking to trace Howard Crawford.
The 51-year-old was last seen in the Leachkin area around 9pm on Tuesday.
He's described as being around 6ft in height, of average build, with fair hair that is balding and a beard.
Howard speaks with an English accent and was last seen wearing a blue jacket, red shorts and green wellington boots.
It's believed Howard may have connections with the Isle of Skye and so may be travelling towards the area.
He is known to regularly walk long distances and so officers are appealing to drivers and other walkers to report any sightings of him.
