Driver dies in A9 crash

A 37-year-old man from Kingussie has died following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A9 yesterday afternoon, Wednesday October 18, 2017.

Police, Fire crews and the Scottish Ambulance Service were called to the incident involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle on the A9 carriageway near to its junction with Lynwilg at around 3.55pm.

As a result, the 37-year-old male car driver sustained fatal injuries. A full collision investigation was undertaken with a detour in place via Aviemore.
