Firefighters have been telling us how they cut a man free from the wreckage of a car which drove into a house in Aberdeenshire.

It happened on the A947 at Plaidy on Saturday night.

A team specialising in urban search and rescue was sent from Aberdeen.

They had to make sure the building was stable as they used hydraulic cutting equipment.

The man was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but we don't know how badly he was injured.

A second man was able to get out of the car before the emergency services arrived.
