Earlier in the week I paid a visit to Dingwall town centre to see how everyone was getting on with their preparations for Ross County’s League Cup final this Sunday.

I took a walk down Dingwall High Street and was absolutely amazed at the efforts from all the businesses that had decorated their windows to show the team support.

Dea's Bakery

Many stores had Ross County merchandise and memorabilia, some had even gone to the trouble of hand-making collages, setting up goal posts in the window and local bakers devoted their cakes to the Staggies!

Many shops had managed to get their hands on trophies, flags and even got the local schools involved to help make banners for their windows.

Yvonne at the Ross County official merchandise stand located at Tesco’s told me that business was booming and the buzz around the town was huge! The official stand offers a range of stock from teddies to strips and seems to be in high demand from people near and far.

After having a chat with many locals and finding out what the prospects of the weekend could be, it seems atmosphere and hopes are sky high and everyone is very proud of their local team no matter what the score is.

Fingers are crossed all over Ross-shire for a victory come Sunday!

Ours are too! MON THE STAGGIES!
