Death of Inverness man sparks investigation

A police inquiry has launched after the death of a man from the Kinmylies area.

Gavin Grant's death is being treated as unexplained by police.

Emergency services were called to the Craigard Terrace area of the city around 6.45pm on Saturday 17 November 2018.

The 32 year old was taken to Raigmore hospital but he died on Monday 19 November.

Detective Inspector Eddie Ross said: "Our thoughts are with the Mr Grant's family and friends at this difficult time.

'His death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

'A police presence will be maintained in the area while the investigation continues and the local community is thanked for their patience and understanding as these enquiries continue.'
