Dean Brill has thanked Inverness for some of the best years of his career as he confirmed his exit from the club.

Brill announced his departure a day after fellow goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams signed a new three-year contract.

Brill did not play last season as he worked his way back from a knee injury, but returned to action with the under-20s later in the season.

The 30-year-old saw his first-team place covered by Fon Williams and he moves on with a heavy heart. He wrote on Twitter: I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone at ICTFC for the past 3 seasons!! 2 of which are some of my best times on and off the field in my career!!

A beautiful part of the world, family and friend visits, cup finals, cup runs, top 6 finishes and some truly memorable games!!

Last season was tough not being able to play, but I have a huge debt to the club getting me back fit and ready to play next season, wherever that may be.'' Fon Williams committed his future to the club despite the departure of manager John Hughes.

The Wales international told the club's website: Delighted to have extended my contract up at the Highlands; as I've always said since arriving at ICT, it's a great place to play football and a beautiful part of the world to live.

The people that I work with every day at the football club have made my decision to stay a lot easier.

Now I'm looking forward to the summer and meeting up with the Welsh squad ahead of the European Championship 2016 in France. The coming season looks to be exciting and I'm sure the fans and the rest of the players are equally looking forward to it.''
