Cyclist injured in collision involving tractor near Carrbridge

Police appealing for witnesses after incident on Thursday night.

A 43 year old male cyclist is in a serious condition in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after he was injured on Carr Road at around 7:15pm on Thursday evening.

The rider was orginally taken to Raigmore hospital after the collisions while he was heading east and the tractor westbound.

The road was originally closed for investigative work, and re-opened just before 3am.

Police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident which occurred approximately 400 metres from junction with the A938.

Road Policing Sergeant David Miller said:

"We are looking to establish the full circumstances of this collision and anyone who may be able to help is asked to come forward."

"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the tractor or a group of bicycles on the road prior to the collision to get in touch."
