WATCH: People with disabilities urged to give curling a try
After a weekend where curling captured the nation's imagination, we're being shown it's a sport for everyone as curlers with disabilities take to the rink
It's been a massive week for Scottish curling.
A silver for Team GB's men and a gold for the women's squad at the winter Olympics has the country curling mad.
Rinks across Scotland are bound to be busier now than ever, but Scottish disabilities golf and curling and reminding the public that it's a sport for everyone.
The charity is urging those with disabilities to get involved.
They host competitions across the country, this morning they kicked off their latest tournament in Kinross.
Jim Gales the SDGC’s event organiser said, “we want to use the great publicity generated by the three teams at the Winter Olympics and bring in new people to the game.
"Curling is a great sport and playing or competing in the game is not a barrier for anyone with a disability.
"We have curlers with all levels of physical, sensory and intellectual problems and they get opportunities to play locally, nationally and internationally.”
