A head teacher is giving lessons to children from the comfort of their own home, via Facebook Live.

Wendy Mackay, who teaches at Duncan Forbes Primary in Culloden, is already missing her students since schools were shut.

She wanted to give youngsters structure to their lives during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Her Facebook page " Teach at Home" has attracted thousands, with one post reaching 20,000 people.

Mrs Mackay holds several lessons throughout the day aimed at helping primary school aged children.

She said: 'I was trying to think of a way that would reach the most amount of children and families and in the easiest way.

'We've been really good with setting up Google Classrooms.

'But I just thought everyone's got Facebook as well and I was aware that other schools were all at different levels of our technology.

'I thought this might help, more than just my school as well.

'It's just a handy thing to do for parents so they've got some form of structure for their children throughout the day.'
