Crisis at Aberdeenshire Council

Aberdeenshire Council's administration is in crisis this morning.

The departure of two more councillors from the Alliance Group - including deputy leader Martin Kitts Hayes - means the Conservative/Lib Dem/Independent Coalition now has a minority of councillors.

It follows the departure of the shire's two Labour councillors earlier this week - they blamed the administration's "uncaring attitudes" for the decision.
