Cocaine with street value of £110,000 recovered in Alness

A man's due in court after a large drugs haul was found in the Ross & Cromarty area.

A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with alleged drug offences after cocaine with an estimated street value of £110,000 was recovered.

The cocaine was recovered in the Alness area on Saturday 2 June, 2018 as part of an ongoing operation.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector William Nimmo from Police Scotland's Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit said: "This is a significant recovery that has removed harmful drugs from our local communities. We will continue to take action against the supply of illegal drugs and would encourage anyone with information to contact us."

The man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday 4 June, 2018
