Chow hungry for further first team opportunities
Tim Chow ready to flourish at County after a difficult start to his time in Dingwall.
Tim Chow hopes he's now in a position to challenge first team regulars for a place in Jim McIntyre's starting XI at Ross County, although he's probably the first to agree that his path to progress hasn't been that smooth.
The former Wigan midfielder made his first start for County at Aberdeen - and saw red after just 21 minutes.
"It wasn't the start that I imagined and I was disappointed with myself, it was a spur of the moment thing and that's totally against my character, it's a learning thing and hopefully I can improve"
Having said that, last time out against Rangers, County were hit by three injuries and had to re-jig their side for the match when ended 1-1, with Chow pitched back in to the first team.
"I was glad to get my chance against Rangers and play the full 90 minutes was really pleasing and hopefully I can kick on from there"
"We had the good result and performance against Rangers, and it's been good to get another weeks training under our belts, approaching the St Johnstone game in the same manner"
"We all know that's the kind of performance we need a lot more of, that's the standards we've set ourselves, and we need to reach that level every week as minimum"
County are still at the foot of the Premiership - without a win since August - but they remain three points off sixth place Caley Thistle.
Chow said: "Everyone can see how tight the league is and we're only a couple of results away from getting to closer to where we want to be - that said - it's not always going to be that way, and it's now that we need to actually start moving away from the bottom and put those words into action"
And as for his own contribution going forward, Chow believes County will start making moves in the right direction.
"I think both the league and the team suit me and the style of my play and I'm just hopeful we can both flourish now"
