Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor has pledged to help the club bounce straight back at the first time of asking following the club's disappointing conclusion to season 2017-18.

MacGregor has urged players and supporters to join the club on the journey back to the Premiership as it sets out to do it ‘The Ross County Way’.

“I am as disappointed as anyone that we were relegated after six fantastic years in the top flight,” said MacGregor

“As Chairman, I also have to look at myself and the decisions I made along the way. Now, I think we have to take our medicine, dust ourselves off, look at how we do things as a club - and could we be doing some things better - and rally to try and bounce back to the Premiership at the first time of asking"

"...the best and most loyal fans... and I want to thank them for their patience this season" - Roy MacGregor

“Though relegation brings with it a massive financial penalty, I look at it as an opportunity to get things right and get back to doing things the Ross County way. This means going above and beyond expectations - which is something I think we have always been good at as a club but maybe lost last season - but also making sure from managers through to players and supporters that we are all pulling in the same direction and feel proud to be part of something bigger"

“We have been very lucky in the past to have had some of the best and most loyal fans in the league and I want to thank them for their patience this season while the team has struggled. You only have to look at the fact we took 600 supporters to Perth last Saturday to see how passionate they are about their club"

“In Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell I think we have the right guys in charge of the team who will play attractive football but also be results-driven. I know that they will make sure we keep the players currently at the club who are up to the task of joining the club on our journey as well as bringing in the right characters and developing a great crop of youngsters that they have seen rise through the ranks at the Academy"
