Three people have been taken to hospital following a four vehicle crash in Caithness.

Emergency services were called around 2:55pm following reports of a collision on the A836 between Reay and Thurso.

The road was closed, but has now re-opened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 2.55pm on Friday, 6 August, 2021 following the report of a four vehicle road crash on the A836 between Reay and Thurso.

"Emergency services attended and three people were taken by ambulance to Caithness Hospital.

"The road was closed for a short time and reopened around 4.55pm.”
