Organisers confirm this year's Burning of the Clavie is cancelled
The event isn't going ahead due to covid restrictions

A centuries old tradition in Moray has been cancelled for the second year in a row.
The Burning of the Clavie in Burghead isn't going ahead due to ongoing covid restrictions, as current Scottish Government advice limits outdoor events to 500 people.
It's only the second time since World War Two the event has had to be called off.
"Regretfully have no choice"
Organisers confirmed the update in a statement posted to social media earlier today.
It read: "Unfortunately due to the ongoing crisis, we are unable to go ahead for the second year running.
"I'm sure this will be a disappointment to all Brochers home and away, but Government restrictions only allow 500 people to attend outdoor events.
"We have left the decision as late as possible in the hope that there might have been a relaxation in the current guidelines, but this not being the case, we regretfully have no choice."
The Burning of the Clavie, is a unique fire festival in Burghead, which greets the New Year.
It marks the first day of the Julian Calendar, taking place every year January 11th, unless the 11th is a Sunday, in which case it takes place on the 10th.
The Clavie is a whisky cask which has been split in two and joined together again using a massive nail.
It is filled with tar and barrel staves and once lit it is carried around the village before making its way to Doorie Hill where it is placed on an alter.
Pieces of other casks are rammed into the flames and everyone cheers as the barrel burns and eventually falls apart.
Thousands have turned up to the event in the past, with embers from the barrel sent across the world as a piece of the Clavie is said to bring good luck for the year ahead.
