Bomb experts called in to examine device found on Black Isle beach
It was discovered at Rosemarkie Beach on Tuesday
Part of a beach in the Black Isle has been cordoned off after the discovery of a suspected unexploded device.
Police alerted the coastguard to the find at Rosemarkie beach at around midday on Tuesday.
The object is thought to be old military ordnance.
A coastguard spokesman said the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit has been contacted and will examine the item on Wednesday morning.
