Body discovered by police searching for missing Dutch hillwalker
Cornelius Van Der Wetering was last seen on Wednesday last week.
Police searching for a Dutch tourist, who set off on a walk in the Highlands over a week ago, have discovered a body.
It was reported by a member of the public in the Tomich area at around 3.30pm on Thursday January 5.
Officers attended and found the body of a man in his fifties.
There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Officers have informed the family of Cornelius Van Der Wetering, from the Netherlands, who police were keen to trace to confirm his wellbeing.
Police are also thanking the publicfor their response to the earlier appeal to help trace Mr Van Der Wetering.
