Doak, McCrorie and Forrest included in Scotland preliminary Euro squad
Last updated 22nd May 2024
Ben Doak has been called up to Scotland’s preliminary Euro 2024.
The uncapped 18-year old returned to training with Liverpool recently following an injury and has been given a chance to show Steve Clarke what he can do ahead of the tournament in Germany.
Bristol City defender Ross McCrorie is the other player in the squad yet to be capped by the senior side.
James Forrest is also selected following his recent return to form for Celtic.
Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has made the cut despite featuring just once for his club since February.
Clarke has also opted to include four goalkeepers in his 28-man squad.
The Scotland boss will run the rule over his selections before cutting his squad down to 26 ahead of the tournament.
Right-backs Aaron Hickey and Nathan Patterson have both missed out through injury, as well as Bologna's Lewis Ferguson.
