Organisers of the Beauly-based Belladrum festival have announced that Franz Ferdinand will headline the main stage next year.

And the Glasgow rock band will be supported by KT Tunstall - who famously had her tambourine stolen from a gig in Wick back in August - although it was later returned.

The event takes places between 3rd August and 5th August, 2017.

Promoter Joe Gibbs told MFR News: "This is the first time Franz Ferdinand has played Bella and we are totally delighted to welcome them to our stage.

"I couldn’t think of a better act to close out the festival.

"And we are thrilled to be welcoming KT back.

"She played Bella before as an unannounced special guest but we are pleased to have properly on the bill this time."
