There are concerns a 72-year-old man from Banff may have been missing for several weeks.

Robert Gibson, known as Bob, was reported missing to the police on Monday - he is around 5 ft. 7 inches in height, of slim build and thinning, grey hair.

There is no last confirmed sighting of Bob, and it’s believed he was last seen between 3 to 6 weeks ago. Due to having no confirmed last sighting officers are unable to say what clothes Bob may be wearing.

Bob generally keeps himself to himself but is well-known in the local area. He often walks in the area of Duff house and is a keen fisherman. He is also known by local golfers as he returns their lost golf balls which he finds when out on his walks.

Sergeant Graeme Cupples said: “We are extremely concerned for Bob and we are trying to ascertain when and where he was last seen. I would ask anyone who may have seen Bob or who has any information on where he may have gone to contact us as soon as possible.”
