An artist from Ayr has created a masterpiece of Captain Tom Moore and unveiled it on his 100th birthday.
Craig Campbell was responsible for painting Donald Trump's presidential portrait and turned his hand to depict who he says has become a "national treasure."
Craig adds, "I was inspired by his achievements of raising more than £30m for the NHS. I was completely taken by his spirit and drive to bring people together at this unfortunate time.
"It was fascinating to paint him. I enjoyed depicting a man of his age and character and thinking of all he experienced through life."
The artwork is to be auctioned off for charity through the Wilsons Auctions ‘A Bid For Kindness’ initiative.
It will see bidders from across the UK– and potentially further afield – tune in live online from the comfort and safety of their homes to place bids on a wide range of lots put forward by celebrities, sporting superstars, and other donors.
