A man has been arrested after a man's death at a restaurant in Mintlaw

A man has been arrested after the death of another man at an Indian takeaway.

Police have confirmed the man, 52, has been charged in connection with the investigation into the death of Shahzad Shah, 56, in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance and a man collapsing at Mirchi Tandoori restaurant on Monday evening.

Police said he died at the scene.

The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
