Celtic defender Anthony Ralston earns Scotland call-up
The 22-year old is in the squad for Scotland's clash with Denmark
Celtic defender Anthony Ralston has been called up to the Scotland squad for Monday's World Cup qualifier against Denmark.
The 22-year old has impressed under Ange Postecoglou this season - scoring four goals and grabbing four assists.
It is his first call-up to the senior side after representing the under-21's five times.
Ralston has benefitted from the suspension of Rangers full-back Nathan Patterson who played a key role in Scotland's 2-0 win over Moldova.
Patterson picked up his second yellow card of the campaign meaning he must sit out of the clash.
Captain Andy Robertson, John McGinn, Billy Gilmour, Jack Hendry, Che Adams, Scott McTominay, Kevin Nisbet and Stephen O’Donnell are all one booking away from being banned for the play-offs.
Denmark have already secured their path to the World Cup after winning every single group match.
A win for Scotland on Monday could boost their chances of being seeded for the play-offs in March.
