County had not won in nine league games against Inverness before this season, but the tables have turned with the Staggies winning both encounters 3-2.

However, Davies knows that Ladbrokes Premiership bottom club Inverness will be fighting for their lives.

''Obviously, before this season, they had us on toast, they kept beating us and beating us and I think we had to turn that at some point,'' said the 32-year-old, who is back in the squad after a head injury.

''This season we have, and we've gained a lot of confidence from that but we're not naive enough to say that they're not good enough to turn us over, we've got to do what we've done against them in the past and fingers crossed we can get that result.

They're not a team that's just going to lay down and die, they're a team that are fighting for survival this season so it's going to be a really tough game.

But in both of those games we've done what the manager has asked, and we've played to our full ability and that's why we won the game.''
