Ross County have signed former Hamilton and St Mirren midfielder Tony Andreu.

The 32-year-old has been a free agent since being released by Saints at the end of last season, with the Frenchman joining until the end of the campaign.

After making his first signing as County boss, John Hughes said: "We are delighted to add Tony to the group. Tony has good experience in the Premiership and will certainly add that experience to the team.

"Over his time in the game, Tony has shown on many occasions how important a part he can play in teams.

"You can look at his times with Hamilton, St Mirren and other clubs and see he can add that bit of quality to the teams he has played with"

Sunday County are at Livingston looking to upset their hosts 7-match winning streak, having also recently lost in the League Cup to their opponents.

Andreu moved to Scotland in 2012 when he joined Livingston from Stade Nyonnais and later switched from Hamilton to Norwich in a ÂŁ1 million pound deal.

He had loan spells at Rotherham and Dundee United before joining Coventry, from where he rejoined Accies on loan.

The creative midfielder then made 36 appearances in one curtailed campaign for St Mirren.

Also signing at County is Mohamed Maouche, with the 27-year-old most recently of Oldham. He joins the Staggies until the end of the season subject to international clearance.

French-Algerian Maouche spent 3 years with the Latics making 75 appearances.

On the signing, manager John Hughes said, "Mohamed is a player that will feel he has a bit of a point to prove and we believe he can add to the group. He has that bit of flare about him that can spark special moments in games, and we have to make sure that is what he does here and does it consistently

"If you look at some of the performances Mohamed put in for Oldham over his time there it shows that he can play and what he will bring to Ross County. The important part for us is we need to see his best play every time he steps on to the pitch and I am sure he will want to make sure of that too.”

Mohamed will complete a period of isolation prior to joining up with the team which rules him out of this weekends fixture with Livingston.
