This week the Safer Highland Rock Challenge hits the North of Scotland with three nights of schools performing onstage at Eden Court.

I hosted the first event last night which featured several High Schools. One night down already I must admit, I am absolutely blown away by the amazing showcase of creativity and talent from all who took part.

The results are in and it’s well done to Culloden Academy who took third, second went Dingwall Academy and a big congratulations to Alness Academy who bagged first and that also includes place in the Rock Challenge Final in June.

After the event I caught up with some of the team backstage. First they explained what their performance was all about:

And the team told me what winning meant to them all:

Tonight it’s the turn of primary schools with another place in the finals offered to Thursday’s High School winner. Good luck to all taking part and if you’re going as a spectator I’ll see you there!
