Inverness striker Alex Fisher feels his happiness at the club will get the best out of him.
Fisher this week extended his contract until the end of the season after impressing manager Richie Foran.
The 26-year-old arrived at the club in January but only made three appearances before an ankle injury ended his campaign. However, he has worked hard to establish himself this season and scored a late equaliser against Celtic.
The former Torquay player, who aims to line up against Dundee at Dens Park on Saturday, said: "It's nice to have the extra security until the end of the season. I feel like I've worked hard and I feel like it's just reward for the effort I've put in.
"I've now got a real good chance to stake a claim for a regular first-team starting place.
"Every player wants to play as much as they can. Usually if you're playing and performing you get rewarded with longer-term deals. I've now got a chance to really try and achieve that.
"I love the area, I like the team. I've got a very good relationship with the manager, probably the best I've had, and it all comes together and makes me feel very comfortable as an individual.
"When a player is comfortable I think it gets the best out of them, and I feel that's what's happening to me."
