Woman taken to hospital after three vehicle crash on the A9

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A9 this afternoon.

The three vehicle collision happened around 3:30pm.

Police Scotland have confirmed the road was fully cleared earlier this evening.

A spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving three vehicles on the A9 southbound near Slochd around 3.30pm on Friday, 18 February.

"One woman was taken to Raigmore Hospital and the road was fully cleared around 6pm."

A yellow weather warning for ice and wind remains in place across the Highlands this weekend.

Dozens of schools across Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire were closed today due to the wintry conditions.
