The eight-year-old girl and four-year-old boy were passengers in a car involved in a smash with an HGV yesterday afternoon.
They were flown by helicopter to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. The car driver – a 47-year-old man – was taken there by ambulance.
All three casualties are set to be in a stable condition. The driver of the HGV was not injured.
Following crash investigations, the road reopened around 11pm.
Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers are appealing for information.

“I’m also appealing to anyone else who saw what happened or has dash-cam footage from the A9 in the Carrbridge area around the time of the collision, to please come forward as it may assist our enquiries.”
