15 miles of the road was shut overnight, forcing drivers into a diversion of almost 100 via Gairloch.
Train lines were also flooded out and a replacement bus service between Inverness and Lochalsh will run from 6:30pm this evening.
The stretch of road, just west of Garve, is a popular route with tourists as it forms part of the North Coast 500 and is one of only a few roads in the area
