Three people have now died after the incident at Ralia

A third person has now died following a fatal road crash on the A9 at Ralia, south of Newtonmore, at its junction with the B9150.

The crash happened around 4.50pm on Wednesday, August 10th with a car and a lorry involved.

Emergency services attended and two passengers, a 75-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman, was taken to Ninewells hospital in Dundee with serious injuries. She died on Sunday, August 14th.

The driver of the lorry, a 59-year-old man, was uninjured.

Sergeant Alasdair Mackay said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have died at what is a very difficult time for all.

“We continue to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances and anyone who has not already spoken to us and can assist is asked to get in touch.”
