A 23-year-old involved in Monday's fatal crash on the A96 is in a stable, but critical condition.
Police have also confirmed Stuart Begg was the 18-year-old who died in the collision which involved a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Transit van.
A 19-year-old and a 28 year-old who were also in the crash between Keith and Huntly, have now been discharged from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Tributes have been pouring in for the Keith teenager, who was a defender for MacDuff AFC.
The club have paid tribute to him on social media saying he "always had a joke to crack and a smile on his face."
They said: "This is a post we never wanted to write. However here goes.
"Our games this week are cancelled due to the passing of Stuart Begg (affectionately known as Beggy or Sbegg to the lads.)
He was only with us since the beginning of this season but his influence both on and off the pitch was a massive factor in our improvement.
"The tough defender joined from Vales development and from the get go immediately became one of our core members on the pitch and in our WhatsApp group.
"He always had a joke to crack and a smile on his face.
"This is why we took him into our hearts so quickly and why this hurts so much. We would like to pass our thoughts and prayers onto his family and friends during this difficult time.
"As a mark of respect the club will retire the number 24 Jersey.
"RIP Stuart Begg #24."
Sergeant Chris Smith from Police Scotland’s Road Police Unit said: "Our thoughts remain with the friends and family of Stuart at this difficult time.
"Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen this crash or who might have dash-cam footage to speak to officers.
"We are grateful to everyone who has assisted our enquiries so far."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3280 of 26 July.
