An 11-year-old girl has been winched to safety after becoming stranded on rocks off the Moray coast.
An 11-year-old girl has been winched to safety by helicopter after becoming stranded at a North East beauty spot.
The young girl became trapped on rocks at Cullen Beach on Sunday afternoon.
Her parents called the emergency services out to the incident near Cullen at about 13:20.
RNLI lifeboats from Buckie and Macduff assisted coastguard rescue teams but decidedly they could not safely scale the rock from the ground.
The girl was eventually picked up by helicopter and returned uninjured to shore.
